You can use your Groupon and LivingSocial gift certificate(s) on our full list of goods and services, including most store items, all custom-designed pieces AND all sewing services/classes, EXCEPT:
- certain consignment items (roughly less than five percent of our inventory is ineligible for Groupons/LivingSocials)
- any previously purchased item or previously commissioned sewing work, discounted or not, regardless of sale/pickup date
- special orders from other (non-Pinky's) labels
Note: there is a limit of one certificate redemption per store visit.
Our eligible list of goods & services can be found here. Groupons/LivingSocials can only be used in our own store (not in other stores that carry our collections).
Groupon/LivingSocial certificates cannot be used for online purchases (only because we don't have the technical savvy to figure that out!) but simply email us and we'll process it manually, and quickly!

REGARDING PRICING & POLICY.
We at Pinky's pride ourselves on not only bringing together a unique selection of designers and artists, but on our competitive pricing, too. Our consignment vendors are contractually obligated to not sell their wares to you for less than we do; our wholesale vendors provide items that are sold by us at the recommended retail price - or lower.
While we do carry such a specialized and rare assortment of items at both our online and brick 'n' mortar shops, some of our items are more readily available in other parts of the country, and perhaps even...less expensively. SO: if you EVER see an item - from domestic/U.S. vendors/designers, only - that we stock, but for LESS than we sell it for - prove it to us and we'll beat the price. Promise.
We're sorry, we cannot honor this "price beating policy" on any of our imports, nor with online stores based in other countries: quite often, those listed prices fail to include additional, international shipping rates, customs fees, etc., that are figured into our final retail prices to you. We keep our prices as low as we are able.
Items purchased more than thirty days prior are never eligible for any return, refund or discount.

We will hold ANY item for a customer for ONE WEEK only. All that one needs to do is call or email us, and provide a phone number or email address. Customer holds are not reflected on our site, so inventory may vary from what is posted on here.
WILL PINKY'S SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? CAN I BUY PINKY'S IF I DON'T LIVE IN THE U.S.?
Yes, YES! Pinky's gladly accepts international orders...please email us at email@example.com ("RE: int'l order" on subject line) with what you'd like to buy, and we'll contact you within 24 hours to manually process your order. Please include your phone number with your request.
HOW DO I RECEIVE UPDATES/NEWSLETTERS FROM PINKY'S DAILY PLANNER?
You can simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org ("RE: please add me to your mailing list" on subject line) with your address. KNOW THAT we won't ever ever EVER give your personal information out to ANYONE. You can always unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time, just let us know. We send out email newsletters every 4-8 weeks, usually coinciding with/including info on an event or promotion.
We prefer you give us just your email address as we very rarely do expensive, in-house postal mailings anymore. We get to pass these savings onto you, oh fair consumer!
And...PLEASE...if you do NOT want to receive mailings from us...then DON'T join our mailing list. Pretty please. With sugar.
I HAVE A GIFT CERTIFICATE/STORE CREDIT/PROMOTIONAL OFFER; HOW DO I USE IT?
Pinky's can process gift certificates and special offers in our Showroom and over the phone only...and not through our online shopping cart. To use any type of discount/credit, please email us at email@example.com ("RE: special offer/certificate" on subject line) with what you'd like to buy, and we'll contact you within 24 hours to manually process your order. Please include your phone number with your request.
You can also buy gift certificates from us, available in $20/$25 increments, by emailing us as directed above.
NOTE: PROMOTIONAL gift certificates are marked as such, and may have an expiration date. They are likely won in an in-house raffle or are otherwise given away (meaning they weren't paid for), have no cash value, and expiration dates cannot be extended.
Gift certificates - both purchased and promotional - can NEVER be applied to previous purchases, sorry.
Gift certificates BOUGHT from us do not expire and can be used at our new location.

HOW DO I SHOP PINKY'S DAILY PLANNER?
Pinky's offers three convenient ways to buy our wares: the first is in our new Studio & Store, now open in Cleveland's Tremont Neighborhood (our first store was in Cleveland's historic Tower Press building, which started as our new studio in 2003, then opened to the general public in September 2005). We also offer most of our items on our website www.pinkysdailyplanner.com , and selections from our own label can be found in boutiques/galleries across the nation. All provide secure credit card processing, and we accept cash/check payments in our Showroom.
Pinky's uses PAYPAL to safely process all credit card transactions. You do not need a PAYPAL account to use a credit card.
HOW DO I ORDER SWATCHES? MAY I SEE CLOSE-UPS OF ANY OF THE GARMENTS/FABRIC ON PINKY'S SITE?
We're happy to send you an extremely large but very clear JPEG file of any fabric of any Pinky's item. There is no charge for this. We can also send you swatches of almost any fabric of almost any Pinky's item. There is a charge for this, partially deductible off of your future order. Email us either through the item's page (i.e. by clicking "special request") or at firstname.lastname@example.org ("RE: fabric inquiry" on subject line).
Fabric swatches are always free for our retail clients.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY NEW PINKY'S LABEL ITEMS WILL FIT?

**** All skirts/dresses hit at approximately high calf, except for "Mini" and "City" dresses and skirts (which hit at approximately mid-thigh; a size 4 is @ 14" long and a size 10 is @ 18" long), or unless otherwise specified. All tubes/blouses hit at approximately 3-4 inches below the natural waist unless otherwise specified. ****
All Pinky's label items photographed on our site are sizes 4, 6, or 8 regular. Sizes of photos are not necessarily to scale; they're best-fit to best show detail.
Only "Made To Order" and In Stock Standard Sizes are returnable (click your browser's back button for our policy).
Each non-Pinky's item is measured separately, and size information is listed on each item's own page.
**** A quick word about our sizing system: One of the, errr, "complaints" we hear the most is, that our sizes "run smaller" than comparable labels. We at Pinky's Collection use what's similar to a couture sizing chart, so yes, another label's size 8 may be our size 12...then again, a true (Pinky's) size 2 won't be confusingly labeled as a "negative 2". ****
ARE YOUR ITEMS AUTHENTIC (i.e. couture & designer selections)?
Hells to the YES! All of our items are authentic, and have all their original brand tags/name labels intact (in a few exceptions, itchy fabric-care tags have been removed by previous owners; such pieces will have that listed in their item descriptions) So when you buy a Chanel item from us, it's a Chanel, and is labeled as such. We also strive to describe all items as accurately as possible - please feel free to ask us any questions about ANY of our items before you buy!
HOW CAN I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
Email us at email@example.com ("RE: appointment" on subject line), anytime. We'll take an appointment for almost any day and night - with proper 48 hours or more notice, please. Any vacation time will be listed on our main page as the dates are scheduled; Open Houses and Special Events are always noted on our Events Page as soon as we book them.

WHY DON'T YOU HAVE "REGULAR" STORE HOURS? WHY SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AT ALL?
First, we DO have "regular" hours, they're just fewer & shorter than those of most stores. We are currently open almost every Friday and Saturday (hours due to change seasonally), and of course open 24/7 if you shop us online. One benefit of online shopping: with our free insured, domestic shipping service, you can save the trip and not spend any more to have your order brought right to your doorstep. PLUS:
- Think of us as a specialty gallery as much as a clothing store: you can always come in, by appointment, have the whole store to yourself, which is especially pleasant if you'd like a custom fit, custom order or alteration on one of our in-stock items. - When we're "closed" to the public, we're likely working on something we're creating for another customer, and it's with this type of focus that we'll also handle your garment.

The New Pinky's Studio & Store features over forty independent designers and private labels never before seen in our neck o' the woods...with accessories/clothing items from all around the globe.
We generally have few Pinky's label items actually IN-STOCK and ready-to-go. Why? Because most of our label business is Made-To-Order and Custom Design...and when you visit our Showroom, you have the opportunity to choose from not only our current collections, but from over ten years of our designs; to have an item made just for you.
If you already know what you'd like to buy, an appointment including a fitting usually takes less than a half hour.

HOW DO "CUSTOM SIZING" AND "MADE TO ORDER" WORK?
Items designated "Custom Sizing" are made especially for your personal measurements and are not returnable; "Made To Order" are made to standard sizes 2 - 14 (unless otherwise noted) and follow our return guidelines (click your browser's back button for our policy).
DO YOU CARRY MENSWEAR? DO YOU CARRY MATERNITY WEAR?
No...but we will! Two Pinky's projects coming down the pipeline for this year are: Shirts by MISTER TONY (colorful, often aberrant, one-of-a-kind images on cotton tees) will be carried in our Showroom, and our own PINKY'S BABY PLANNER (modern maternity wear and gifts) tentatively launches in 2012.
(For anyone who's been payin' attention, we're also STILL working on our first clutch collection [PINKY'S POUCHES], and you'll know about 'em as soon as they hit the site/store - promise!)
In the meantime, we can help create one-of-a-kind maternity wear for your blessed event (see below).

Yes! We have co-designed and made bridal, bridesmaid, prom, and special event dresses, home furnishings, and items from heirloom fabric that our friends bring us. All that's required to start is your idea - and a trip to our Showroom. SPECIAL RATES MAY APPLY - instances include rush orders and larger sizes.
I AM A RETAILER; HOW CAN I CARRY PINKY'S DAILY PLANNER AT MY BOUTIQUE?
Retailers outside of the Greater Cleveland area qualify for special discounts, collection previews, and select retailer-only bonuses. Sorry, but Pinky's doesn't participate in off-premise local "craft" fairs, in local fashion shows we don't produce ourselves, and in local, non-neighborhood events requiring a vendor fee/commission.

I AM AN ARTIST/DESIGNER; HOW CAN I SUBMIT PIECES TO PINKY'S STUDIO & STORE?
We are currently and always accepting designer submissions on a consignment basis. If you are a non-northeastern Ohio artist already selling elsewhere in northeastern Ohio, you are automatically disqualified from selling here. All artists: if you are already selling in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood, please don't contact us to sell here, too.
Entries are judged by originality, appropriateness for Pinky's Showroom and quality of work, see below** (Of course there are exceptions...so if it's listed below, it better be pretty spectacular to still qualify!) . Most media are welcome; past exhibits have included textile artists, painters, illustrators, photographers, and designers of clothing and accessories.
Another factor we examine: an artist's "seriousness" of craft...sending your website link (Etsy and MySpace/Facebook/Whatever are fine, and near-free or free!, JPEGS of your work, etc. along with your application request, can only help. We look for designers, not hobbyists.

** HINTS on PINKY'S ACCEPTABLE GOODS:
- no "street" wear or "hippie" looks,
- no "deconstruction" or unfinished seams,
- no hand-decorated [including trendy "message" and "your-indie-label" printed onto] pre-made hoodies/T-shirts/tanks/jeans/briefs,
- no beaded (i.e. seed beads) jewelry,
- nothing that looks "home-sewn" or amateurishly made,
- nothing made from men's neckties or "vintage" women's undergarments (ew),
- nothing "craft-y",
- nothing with skulls, hearts, iron crosses, army-style block lettering, Old English lettering, fun-fur or cat silhouettes on it,
- no reworked pre-worn clothing, PLEASE (we repurpose our own vintage clothing, thank you very much).
So what DO we like? Original thought; fashion-forward items & avant-garde art that's well thought-out and perfectly constructed; unique details and the concept of "design" over "fad"; clothing & accessories not already seen everywhere else.
HOW CAN I PROVIDE MY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO PINKY'S DAILY PLANNER?
While we are always looking for reliable models, freelance seamstresses with their own machines, and interested (read: "unpaid") interns, for either help or hire - email us at firstname.lastname@example.org ("RE: help inquiry" on subject line) - MOST SOLICITATION IS DISCOURAGED (Pinky's Collective already have talented illustrators, web designers, photographers, printers, etc. in healthy numbers). But asking us once, as they say, couldn't hurt.
I'D LIKE TO OFFER PINKY'S AN ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY; WHOM SHOULD I CONTACT AND HOW?
Errr...please don't bother. We usually only advertise with those who've previously featured us in editorial content, and even then, not very often. So we'll let YOU know if we'd like to advertise with your company. Unsolicited advertising requests will not be answered.
WHAT IS PINKY'S DOING TO COMPLY WITH CURRENT ECOLOGICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL/ETHICAL CONCERNS?
We actually find the current trend of "earth-friendly fashion" to be slightly offensive - caring for our planet and our people should never be treated as a fad! Know that Pinky's:
- has always used post-consumer products such as recycled paper in our postal mailings (which we rarely do anymore, in favor of tree-happy email newsletters) and in our Store
- has always embraced and practiced policies such as purchasing hand-made & fair-trade items directly from designers and vendors
- has always incorporated ethically harvested fabrics, such as tussah (including shantung and dupioni) and remnant (including noil and suiting) silks, in our collections; favored animal-friendly vinyl over leather trims in our own house Collections
- is thrilled to introduce sustainable fabrics (like bamboo, in current lines) without compromising product quality and/or end price to the consumer
SOMETIMES PINKY'S WEBSITE "CRASHES", OR I CAN'T ACCESS IT AT ALL - WHY?
Because we're locked into a long-term site-hosting plan with Dreamhost, while relatively fair and inexpensive and with whom we are otherwise completely satisfied, are notorious for frequent scheduled (and unscheduled) "down times". Please know that when you can't get our site, it's them, not us...please try back again in a few minutes; the problem is usually resolved by then.
A few words about Pinky's site itself: we are ALWAYS in the process of updating it with new items and info. AAAALWAAAAYS. So if you have questions/comments about when it will be updated next, or the little green "image coming soon" circles that serve as placeholders for upcoming items...we're already working on it.
WHAT DOES "PINKY'S DAILY PLANNER" MEAN? HOW WAS THE NAME CREATED?
I honestly don't remember, exactly anyway. It sounded cute to me...the name "Pinky" is definitely pro-girl..."Daily Planners" can be used to plan daily wardrobes as well as anything else...I also liked the alliteration and the length of the name. There is no actual "Pinky", although I've answered to the name.
DO YOU ACTUALLY CARRY DAILY PLANNERS?
Beginning with the 2012 calendar year, YES! ha. They're pocket/checkbook sized and proceeds benefit breast cancer research.
